Get that Ceiling Down!…..A Birthday Get Together

Welcome free folk of Middle Earth to the continuing saga of the Hobbit Hollow Construction Blog!

Hmmm…..apologies right from the start. I don’t have much time this weekend. So this will be brief. Georgia, Ethan, and Jude have returned from the far reaches of Middle Earth for a mid semester break and to celebrate Georgia’s 22nd birthday!

We haven’t been all together since the summer so it was really nice to get together. Especially since it was Georgia’s birthday. Stayed up late Friday night and went to Terence’s game Saturday afternoon. The Tigers posted their second win so that was great! Had a nice birthday celebration for Georgia as well!

All I have time for is a few pictures. Did manage to get the ceiling down and did a bit of cleanup. Check it out.

I used an old 1 inch wood chisel to get the squares out.  They pop right out once you get the chisel in at the right angle.

Sorry for so little info….was quite busy. Talk again next week.

See you soon!

  1. Jim,
Sorry it took a week to respond. I come here Sunday nights or Monday mornings to read the new stuff. I’ll send you a direct email.

    • Hey Mike! Thanks for writing. Been busy with going to football games and the like so I haven’t gotten as much done as I would have liked to. It’s really starting to look like something though.

Anyway, I got a ticket on 29th street for quote unquote “Not yielding to a pedestrian.” Your brother is still a cop isn’t he? (Maybe I can use Tommy as a reference?) I mean this guy was a jerk. I let the crowd pass and then as I was going to make my left another person started to cross. (They weren’t even going through the crosswalk.)Then I stopped and yielded to the pedestrian.

This cop waves me over and says I didn’t yield to the pedestrian. I was like WHAT?!!!!? Then I asked him if he lived in Deerfield Ponds in Pawling. (It’s like a bad cop hangout apparently.)

Hope to write a more substantial blog next weekend.

      Talk to you soon!

      Jim
