Hello again free folk of Middle Earth and welcome again to the Hobbit Hollow Construction Blog!
Bad news folks. I got the call during the week and unfortunately I had to work on the job this weekend Saturday and Sunday. What can I tell you? Yeah, we had to put up a crane because we are going to start another job right next door to the one we are currently working on. I didn’t even take a picture because I knew I was going to have to come in on Sunday to finish it up. Nothing like waking up at 4 in the morning on a Sunday. Oh well. There are worse things in life.
On a positive note I kind of digested the whole round door framing thing. I think I figured it out. It’s not going to be easy though. It will be a challenge. Very challenging.
Just so happened to watch a little of The Hobbit the other day. You know, the “Riddles is the Dark” part. That was a great scene. Next week I think I’ll put a riddle into the post. See how Hobbit savvy you all are.
Anyway I’m hoping to get started again next weekend.
Enjoy your work week!
Jim
Jim,
I continue to enjoy reading every Monday morning. Spent the past 3 weeks working in Brooklyn and amazed at the amount of construction. I’m over by the Brooklyn Bridge (Jay Street, Tillery Street, Atlantic Street) and there are cranes/construction crews everywhere! Glad things are busy for you in NYC.
Mike
Hey Mike glad to hear from you!
Yeah, there’s a ton of work going on out there. A lot of non-union. Non-union doing big high rises too. It’s not good.
Anyway I hope all is well and if you’re around give me a call and stop by.
Take care,
jim
